I’m a writer!

I chuckle at that statement.

I’m a writer. I even have a playlist on iTunes called “I’m a writer!” for those tunes that help me type. Yes this personal joke may sound ridiculous in my head but the proof is in the pudding…and by pudding I mean pages. For the past few months I have been focusing my blogging energy on writing content for others. I have put in a lot of time and have enjoyed the process immensely. Most of that time has gone into two inspirational eBooks on why one should travel the world, how to prepare to do so, and how to make the most of your time away. This was done for a great backpacking company in France called Baladeo.com. They are a successful company that sells anything and everything needed for filling your backpack no matter the purpose of your trip. From hostel hopping across Europe to climbing mount Kilimanjaro, Baladeo has you covered.

Baladeo recently launched RootsTraveler.com – a website dedicated to promoting, sharing, and inspiring others to travel. I felt like this was very inline with the message that I am trying to put out so was happy to partner with them. RootsTraveler.com encourages others to seek out their very own “ends-of-the-earth” and experience their own “wow” moments. With these two expressions in mind I was asked to write two eBooks on world travel.

The first eBook, “Travelers Roots: Growing a Richer you Through a 6 Month+ Trip Around the World”  is about getting in the right mindset to backpack the globe for an extended period. It is a guide to prepare oneself for what is in store and to help make the most of every situation along the way. I drew a lot from my own experiences for this eBook – what travel means to me, what travel has done for me, and what travel can do for others are the overlaying themes of this book.

The second eBook, “To The Ends Of The Earth: Making The Most Out of Your Two Weeks+ Annual Leave” is about just that. It’s aimed at pushing travelers away from the “normal” vacation and doing something different, something lasting, something more. It’s about making the most of your limited annual leave and finding those moments that will last a lifetime. For This eBook I was asked by RootsTraveler.com to make it about finding that perfect moment or place – a “Wow” moment at your own “End Of The Earth” was how they describe it. In the end the message is the same:

To see more.
To do more.
To be more.

I am happy with how these books turned out and hope that they can help those that are putting off something that can be great. I am very pleased to offer the first ebook, “Travelers Roots: Growing a Richer you Through a 6 Month+ Trip Around the World” for free. You can get your copy  simply by subscribing to my biweekly-ish newsletter.

For info on how to obtain both eBooks please see here.

Lastly

If you know someone that can benefit from this message then please forward along. This could be someone looking for something more out their vacations or someone that has been contemplating extended travel for years but has done nothing but talk about it. Help him/her get off that proverbial pot. Email it. Tweet it. Share it on your Facebook wall. I am also more than open to your feedback. Please leave comments on this site or contact me HERE.
