What It’s Really Been Like to Run a Travel Blog During a Global Pandemic
We're more than halfway through 2020 – and what a crazy year it's been. What began as a year in which I was poised to have a lot of work and go on some of my most epic trips yet has devolved into a year where I've barely left my house, let alone the country. The reason for this, of course, is the COVID-19 pandemic. We really had no idea what was coming back in January! I first heard of this mysterious new virus in late January, when I was in New York City for a networking event and the New York Times Travel Show. This was when China put Wuhan into lockdown, and the global news services started to pick up on the story. At that point, nobody in the US was really concerned.
