Puerto Rico has tons that teenagers will delight in—if you can imagine that—as it is hard to beat the outdoor activities on the island. Most tour companies will come and pick the entire family up and transport them an hour or two away—where ever the action happens to be. Many family adventures await on this island down in the Caribbean. The only American rainforest El Yunque is a stunning rainforest—the only tropical rainforest on U.S. soil—where visitors are welcome to enjoy many things. Because of Puerto Rico’s location in the Caribbean, the weather is in the 70’s year round—ideal for outdoor activities. Be on the lookout for the famous coquí, or small tree frogs, of which fifteen species inhabit this small forest. As long as you avoid the steep hills San Francisco is known for, downtown is the perfect place to take your baby for a long stroll. Before you head out, be sure to pack up your stroller with the necessities: some diapers, wipes, snacks, bottles and an extra changes of clothes—just in case. Now you’re ready to experience just how fascinating walking through the city can be!     Meandering through culture Japantown is a great place to start.  In the heart of the neighborhood, you will find the self-guided History Walk, featuring 16 interpretive signs that detail the history of the community. It details the story of their settlement after the Great Earthquake of 1906, the relocation of Japanese Americans to internment camps during World War II and current efforts being made by these immigrants to maintain the community.
