Slovenia: Lake Bled, Ljubljana, and Triglav National Park (Photos)

Image
Reading Time: 5 minutes A Slovenia points of interest as told with photos — including things to do, where to stay and must-visit destinations including Ljublana, Lake Bled and Triglav National Park  “We’re not lost… wait… yes… no… I don’t know, but let’s go and find out.” About two weeks into working with Taylor Burk, I didn’t mind getting lost. Quite frankly, I didn’t know much about Slovenia, so for all we knew we were headed towards paradise. At this point, we were not. We were definitely lost. I’m unsure if we were even on a real road, but surrounded by green mountains, great music, and even better company, exploring the unknown was worth the risk. Per usual. I’ll take getting lost and spontaneous viewpoints any day. Triglav Valley was one of those days. We did however, road trip through some of Slovenia’s mystical dwellings, so unfamiliar to Americans and Canadians yet treasured by Unesco World Heritage rankings. Triglav Valley, Slovenia. My Caveman Experience: Squatting With Gypsies In Spain

Image
My Luxury Cave Accommodations Granada, Spain There’s a remarkable community of gypsy travelers who squat inside abandoned caves in Spain. This is my unusual story of spending the night with them. Dinner was surprisingly delicious. You’d never know it came from a dumpster. Earlier that night, my Romanian hosts Sorina & Alex disappeared for about an hour to go “recycling”. I didn’t think much of it at the time. Had I known they were out collecting free food, I would have joined them. Sacromonte is a fascinating neighborhood on the outskirts of Granada. For over 500 years, families have been living in the caves carved into hills around here. Primarily the Roma (Gitano, Gypsy) people, but also farmers. However these days another group has also moved in, a community of more modern gypsies (hippies/travelers) from all over the world. Exploring Cambodia And Vietnam Through The Eyes Of “La Marguerite”

Image
Most cruise lines find to provide its shoppers with what I contact the “Best Of” vacation (e.g., “See the Best of the Mediterranean: From Scenic Livorno to the Seascapes of San Tropez”). Whilst this is almost certainly a very beautiful way to sail and discover, I normally want to encounter all of what a place has to offer you, and if that usually means hoping a deep-fried tarantula as so not to offend the custom made of devouring this sort of a take care of, then so be it. Fortunately, there are cruises that will venture to places that envelope the cultural core of a place with no distributing rose-colored eyeglasses. The Sydney Morning Herald just lately cruised on the La Marguerite , for an eight-working day, seven-evening cruise together the Mekong River from Siem Enjoy to Ho Chi Minh City, with excursions beyond the breathtaking temples and ornate palaces (you will see these too) of Cambodia and Vietnam. Visits from the boat incorporate, but are not limited to: a customized to...

The vast wide range of islands encompass an illustrious array of different languages and topographies that make the Philippines a vacation spot that travelers come across them selves revisiting over and around once more. Seashores with driftwood that ornament the sugar-like sand evenly sparkle from the sunshine. The drinking water is a sapphire blue that melts into the afternoon sky creating the horizon vanish. There is only just one established of footprints in the sand that lead specifically to a village just further than the barrier-bitten black volcanic rocks. No, this is not bustling Boracay, the vacation spot most perfectly renowned in the Philippines, but Negros, an island found in the central Visayas. A ferry from Cebu metropolis, the key...
