Over 12 million tourists flocked to Denmark annually before the pandemic. Known for its stunning architecture and beautiful palaces, the country has opened its borders and started to rebuild its tourism sector. 

Here are the latest COVID-19 entry requirements for Denmark and everything you need to know before booking your trip.

EU Member States, Schengen countries and the United Kingdom with the exception of: 

  • Spain
  • France
  • Belgium 
  • Serbia
  • Croatia
  • San Marino
  • Malta
  • Monaco 
  • Andorra

Faroe Islands and Greenland

The Faroe Islands and Greenland have enacted additional entry requirements that travelers need to know.

COVID-19 Testing Entry Requirements 

Approved travelers are NOT required to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test upon arrival.

Quarantine Entry Requirements 

Approved travelers arriving in Denmark are NOT required to quarantine.

COVID-19 Travel Insurance Entry Requirements 

All incoming travelers should have travel insurance the covers COVID-19 for the duration of their trip to Denmark.

COVID-19 Health Requirements While in Denmark

All visitors must follow COVID-19 health requirements while in Denmark:

  • Wearing a mask is required on all public transport and when instructed
  • Follow all social distancing guidelines

COVID-19 Vaccine Entry Requirements 

A vaccine for COVID-19 is not yet available to the public. Denmark has not announced any mandates on a proof of vaccine record (POVR) for entry.  

Visa Entry Requirements For Denmark During COVID-19

All travelers arriving in Denmark will need to follow regular visa requirements.

Travelers that require a visa must apply at the Danish embassy/consulate in their home country.  

Face masks are required on all public transport in Denmark
